Title: e-smith behind a Zyxel 310
Post by: Allan Jørgensen on January 13, 2002, 01:43:26 PM
Hi,

I have a static IP, and use a Zyxel Prestige 310 Gateway as a DHCP server. Behind that, I have a e-smith set up as a server and gateway, and 2-3 WinXP computers.

But I can't see the web or FTP on the e-smith?

What can I do?

Regards

Allan

If your internet access is handled by a router, e-smith must run in private-server or server-only mode. Simply put in the IP of the router in the "gateway" part of the config screen.

If you want to give the outside world access to your e-smith www; this is tricky. You then need port forwarding on the router and more stuff. I would not recommend and can not explain that.
