Title: FTP: cannot upload files
Post by: osiris9510 on May 10, 2006, 05:53:11 PM
I can login and ls successfully....however....

No matter what permissions I grant to the directory, I still can not upload files via FTP. "550: Permission Denied."

Is there a setting in some conf file that I'm missing? Thanks in advance

...and read the manual. See the ibays chapter.

Read it carefully as it clearly tells you how to do it using a sftp client.
Title: Another side question to this topic

Do to the fashion of ftp uploading of files, is it possible that this is interfering with my php script for my auction website ?

The users cannot seem to add new listings to the auctions for some reason on my SME server

the php script add folders and  gives those folders permisions, however I'm told by people who have looked at this that my server is not allowing the script to write/create the folders, or set the permissions.

could this be related to the sftp requirement etc. ?

Basically I'm told that my ftp server is not giving access or allowing the script to set the permissions for the auction site user folders.

Please advise your thought on this topic please

Thanks
