Post by: del_piero on May 10, 2006, 11:59:27 PM
Hi there,

My apache is nos accepting connections on port 80. I don´t have webserver nor webmail... :-(

I´m really sad because my server was working so beautiful until yesterday, when i try to install devtools 7.0... big, big mistake!!!!

I´m really desperate, because i need to put the server working really soon, so if you could help me, i´ll be much aprecciate to you all.

 I have sme-server 7.0rc1 - Server/Gateway mode.

I have tested throw nmap from another machine and port 80 show closed and port 443 either...

 Sorry for my english...

All the best to you all out there

It´s really sad that no one could help me.... Oh well, that´s life....

I´m pretty sure that after all there aren´t as many gurus in linux as i would suspect around here....

Thank god that i resolved it all by myself...

 See you all.

It is a nice thing that you solved your problem although you don;t post the cause and solution of your problem, but it is a wrong thing to flame all the readers and posters of this forum. If you don't post details to your problem and only say things don't work you can not expect people to solve your mistery. Not posting the solution might leave others searching for errors like you... or maybe makes you look  a bit dim for overseeing the obvious ;-)

A good advice for the next time (if you ever return as the tone of your message reads to me as utter disappointment):
