Title: Where is all the e-mail kept/how to delete off the server??
Post by: Scott Lewis on January 17, 2002, 11:06:41 AM
I have setup e-smith server to pick all my e-mail up from a  certain ISP. But on setting up tried several ISP (NOTE: when setting up NTL use the ip address of there incoming e-mail - NOT pop.ntlworld.com, use 62.253.162.50).

Anyway, I know get loads of e-mails crom Cron Daemon titled: Cron /etc/startmail .

Am I correct this is e-mail that may have been setup when I was trying other ISP and now cannot be sent or received, hence the error messgage.

If so, how do I delete those messgages, which folder under e-smith are they stored in?

It seems like you are trying pick up mail from a pop3 box, while fetchmail is still busy collecting mail from that box. You could try to set the time for checking mailboxes to 15 mins instead of 5 mins (in the server manager)

Changed it to 15 minutes - still getting the error even though it picks up the e-mail fine - and other ideas.

The updates seem to have solved the problem -  thanks for the tip.
