I installed and rebooted the system. Configured the setting and then after the system is ready it reboots and then gets past haldaemon and stops, does not finish the boot up. i have tried to install it 3 times and same thing happens. any idea of the problem?????????????? :hammer:

Firstly this post should be in the 7.x contribs forum as you have added haldaemon to your server it isn't a standard feature.
Secondly I suggest you state at what point your server reboot "gets past haldaemon and stops" isn't very precise.
If you want help you need to provide as much info as possible so other are able to help.

dsemuk is incorrect. haldaemon is standard and is initialised during boot.
haldaemon is Hardware Abstraction Layer and the daemon is a daemon for collecting and maintaining information about hardware from several sources.
Does it indicate that haldaemon has started?
The next thing to initialise after haldaemon is mysql.init
Have you left it for a period of time to see if it finishes booting?
What hardware are using?
I suggest you create a bug in the bug tracker. Please include all relevent details including hardware setup.

I installed it as the instructinons state. It is a P3 800 with 256 ram and 80 gig hd. As far as to how far it gets after haldaemon is as I stated right after. It states haldaemon [OK]
then nothing.
And yes i have let it set for coulpe hours after and nothing.
And this is suppose to be where you post for server install problems not in the contribs area.

Correct.
All problems should be reported in the Bug Tracker - and nowhere else please, so that all relevant information is in one place - the place where it will be acted upon.

Ook found the problem after reading through the bugs area. I removed a Diamond video card and the system came up. I was not sure where to post seeing i was not sure if this is a bug or a user problem. But thanks for pointing me to the right place to find the problem.

Add your information to the bug which suggested to you to remove the video card. That will add more information do the knowledge base.
