Title: Is there a patch to allow MS PPTP routing?
Post by: Tim Gibson on February 03, 2000, 12:18:09 AM
I have E-smith 3.1 installed.  Is there a patch available to allow Microsoft PPTP VPN to pass thru the server?  I know there is a kernel patch available and I have used it before so it is possible.  Are you planning on incorporating it into future releases?
Thanks.

PS, I Love this product.  E-smith rocks!

There were some patches posted by one user, Fran Boon, at http://www.partyvibe.com/e-smith - but that name is not resolving just now :-(

Not at the moment. The development direction for the e-smith server/gateway is outlined at http://www.e-smith.org/future. I enough people want it, and resources become available, it'll happen I'm sure.

It's back up now. Have a look at the VPN masquerade stuff.
