Title: Restore Question

Hi

If I want to backup to desktop, and then restore on a fresh install of SME ?

But I want to change the root password on the fresh install of SME, what happens to my restore will it be fine ? or will something go wrong with the Primary Ibay and admin / root logins ?

Basically all appears to work fine, but I just want to change the root password, which I'm guessing is linked to the Primary Ibay, and server-manager etc.

Please advise

It doesn't matter what you set the root password to on the new install because the restore will set the root password to whatever the backed up systems root password was.

If you just want to change the root password then change the admin password in the server-manager. This will also change the root password.
