Hi all
I notice their is a bug open with a 4Gb backup to desktop limit,
I was also aware of another project called "Naslite" http://www.serverelements.com. who had a similiar problem, which they tracked down to a problem with SMB I believe.
Just wondering if its the same problem , maybe it might help having a look at naslite forums for clues/ideas or even asking how they fixed it
quote's
"The Floppy version of naslite has a 4gb smb limt, but all current versions of Naslite+ and Naslite+ usb support file sizes larger then 4gb so you will be fine with your *iso."
Naslite+ V1.3 is now out, if you require to use files sizes above 4GB I suggest you upgrade to Naslite+

The file size regarding Naslite+ is no longer a issue.

No, SMB isn't used for backup/restore.
