hi,
in the user setup, when i add an email address to forward to, i get delivery failure messages when I email that user. The email address I am forwarding to is a valid address. Here is the failure message.:
<enquiries@realdomainhere.com>:
Connected to 127.0.0.1 but sender was rejected.
Remote host said: 550 <cardiffab@gmail.com>... Not permitted
Any Ideas?
thanks,
seabro

What I suspect is happening here is that you are using your ISP's mail server for outbound mail (via the smtp auth proxy) and your ISP is using SPF and only accepting mail with qmail.com senders directly from qmail.com's mail servers. This is a big problem with SPF. It breaks mail forwarding (and mailing lists).
You should contact your ISP and ask them why the "sender was rejected".
