Title: Asterisk on SME 6.x?

Hi,

There seems to be big ongoing effort to provide Asterisk support on the SME7 platform but no effort on SME6. Am I just not able to find the magic RPMs or is this true?

I do not need to latest and greated Asterisk build - basically everything above 1.x will properly do the job.

Anyone?

Hey, I use it all the time  ;-)
This works perfectly: http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs//dthomas/smeserver/6.x/Beta/Asterisk/

And also the RPMs provided by Dungog works fine.

No panels or anything (Dungog charges for that).

There's also a How-to for asterisk@home on 6, but it really gets insecure as you have to give shell access to the www user.

Thanks - but these are very old RPMs :-D I found some later ones but had seg fault when trying to get my X100P card to work. I am now setting up a SME7 server and will give SAIL a try.
