OK, I have found a lot of information on how to set up VPN connection, but nothing about after connection was established.
I connect to SME server from remote computer just fine, I see a little icon next to a clock in WinXP that tells me a connection is established, but now what?
I am assuming that I should be able to see a remote SME server in "My Network Places" but it is not there. I can see all local computers and all local groups, but no remote SME server. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. While connected, try clicking on Start, run, and enter \\192.168.100.1, and click OK . After a moment you should see your server, and the shares on the server. If you XP box is a member of a different workgroup or domain, you may have to enter your user name and password again.

Thanks, you pointed me in a right direction.
At first your tip din't want to work. I din't realize at first and later found out that whenever I would have VPN connection turned on, I was unable to browse internet and your tip din't work. After some more googling I found out this tip:
go to: My Network Places -> View network connections -> Right click on your VPN connection icon and choose Properties -> Networking -> choose Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click on properties -> Advanced and uncheck: use default gateway on remote network.
Now I have internet when I have VPN connection and I am able to view remote network as you have explained.
Thanks

Another option is to remote desktop into a windows machine connected to the local SME network you are VPN'ing to. I use that option a lot in the field and it gives me access to my networked machine from almost anywhere.

Tandem is talking about what I want, please somebody tell me where to find out how.

Another question,
When I have VPN connection started, I am unable to browse local network, I can only browse VPN connection. In order for me to view local network, I have to disconnect vpn connection.
Is there a way to view both at the same time?

If all is not clear from the documentation, then please open a bug against Documentation in the Bug Tracker, making it clear what you have read, what you are trying to do, and what information is missing in the docs.
Then once you learn, start adding to the docs. :-)

I connect to a remote SME server from my office every morning using VPN without any problems for several weeks. Remote SME server is connected directly to internet, no router.
Everything was fine for several weeks, all over sudden this morning I get a message:
Error 734: the PPP link control protocol was terminated.
There have been no changes to the server since last night, No updates, No reboots.
Does anyone know what could be causing this?
PS. I will start adding to docs as soon as I got it figure out.
