Post by: dwhitnall on June 19, 2006, 12:36:00 PM
I'm running SME Server 6.0.1 have been for a long time
Using the XP reg key I'm able to get my xp machine to connect to the domain, and log in using usernames.

Has anyone been able to get this working for Windows Vista yet???
I can't even join the domain, or access I-Bays.
Can get through to the internet. but nothing else.

Any idears ???

I don't recall anyone updating SME6 from Samba v2 to v3

SME6.5 used v3 (3.0.7)

SME7 is using version 3.0.10, the same version as CentOS

Do you really need Vista support at this point?

Vista release is still some months away, hopefully by which time Centos & SME will already be using a version of Samba which support Vista.
