Hi i'm running SME7RC3,everything was ok untill sometime yesterday. I lost access to the sme server through 'my network places' on my xp pro sp2 machine. I then detached the xp machine from the 'mitel-networks' workgroup, and when trying to re-attach it couldnt see the dc.
The error was: "DNS name does not exist."

Hi
For one, it's not advisable to use "Mitel-Networks" as a Windows Domain name.
Change that (Not a MUST...) to something more familiar like "KAINER" or whatever suits you.
Add your XP box to the Domain (Don't forget the XP-Registry Patch)
SME should be Domain Controller (With WINS),
Also advisable:
- In Windows Explorer deactivate "automatic search for network resources".
- Under Network Connections > LAN deactivate IEE802.x in the second register.
- Set WINS in the Windows Networking to "listen" to DHCP
Hope that helps
Regards
Andy

Sigh. Please report *all* malfunctions via the Bug Tracker.
