Title: SMTP - 60 Second Delay
Post by: jfarschman on June 29, 2006, 09:09:46 PM
Hello,

When I send email there is a one minute delay before the server answers.  I can verify this by telneting to port 25 and it never says hello until 60 seconds have passed.

Fun Part - If I send from an address that is not in "Local Networks" it works immediately.  I do this using the Secure Email contrib and SMTP AUTH.

My server runs SME6.01 Jespers Spam and AV software and Secure Email.

I suppose if someone could give me a pointer on what exactly happens when you add a network to local networks...  and what could cause a 60 sec. delay.  That would be helpful.

I have the same problem which has just started last week on one of our old sme 6 server. Did you find out what it is?
