Title: Is QMail Different In 7.0?
Post by: jhale1966 on July 07, 2006, 03:13:43 PM
When we were running 6.0.1-01, we had it setup for printers to use it as an email server to send us status/supply messages. We Backed up all the setting from 6.0.1 and Restored into 7.0 and all the printer 'users' are there, but the system seems to not want to accept emails from them and pass them along to the 'Printer-Admins' group that I have setup.

Is there anything different in 7.0 that could be causing this? Or can someone point me in a direction to look? I've checked the mail logs and nothing sticks out there.

Thanks!

qmail is not different. But 7.0 has numerous anti-spam features which were not included in 6.x.

My guess is that your printers are sending invalid mail messages. Please see:
