Title: Howto change the smeserver-manager Back to old style
Post by: Janm on July 07, 2006, 10:31:05 PM
Change web interface back to 6.0.01 style again
First make a map called
OLD-SME6.0.01
and get a copy of the old top logo.gif
its here on a 6.0.01 sme-server

/etc/e-smith/web/common/sme_logo.gif

save it in OLD-SME6.0.01 map as
smeserver_logo.jpg

importent as  smeserver_logo.jpg
from a 6.0.01 server-manager

get a copy of
@index.cgi
and
initial.cgi
is here on both servers
/etc/e-smith/locale/en-us/etc/e-smith/web/functions/

/etc/e-smith/locale/en-us/etc/e-smith/web/functions/@index.cgi
/etc/e-smith/locale/en-us/etc/e-smith/web/functions/initial.cgi

save it in OLD-SME6.0.01 map

Remember allways to take a copy of the same files from 7.0 if you want to revert back again
and save them i a map called

NEW-SME7.0 :-) dont ask why

Then copy the 3 files from OLD-SME6.0.01 map to exactly the same places in new 7.0 smeserver

/etc/e-smith/web/common/smeserver_logo.jpg
/etc/e-smith/locale/en-us/etc/e-smith/web/functions/@index.cgi
/etc/e-smith/locale/en-us/etc/e-smith/web/functions/initial.cgi

after you finished do

signal-event post-upgrade
signal-event reboot

Its just  for the look and feel in case you want the old logo back
All is back to old server-manager.
Have a nice day  :hammer:

I have no idea why you want to do that, but you should be aware that those changes will be undone when we release the next set of package updates.
