Is there a way that when the system sends emails that it includes the First Name/Last Name of the orginating account appended to the email address so that in something like Outlook Express it could show the name along with the email address?
This is strictly for internal use as opposed to sending mail out to the internet and since were talking about printers, it would be easier for us to use.
Thanks! :-D

I don't know if I really understand what you mean but in Horde webmail application under options you can set identities. If you set one as default it should work the way you want it.

That seems to work thanks! :-D
Now I just have to go thru about 100 printers and setup identities for each one. :-D
-
OK - I take that back. :-D
If I send an email out thru horde, it displays the way I want it to, but due to the fact that the printers are just sending email messages thru SME, it's just listing the email address again. :-?

What is the connection between email addresses and your printers?
What are you trying to achive?

I want the emails that the printer sends to be from Department Name instead of someobscurename@ourmailserver.com. I've gone thru and created Identities for all the printers and if I send an email out thru Horde, it works. When the printer sends us a status message, it still just lists the someobscurename@ourmailserver.com.

The from address is coming from the SMTP client software in the printer. If you can configure that software, do so. If you can't, you'll have to live with it. Nothing to do with the SME server software...
