Post by: lucho115 on July 19, 2006, 05:58:24 PM
since the 4.3 release of centos there are a lot of updates ( kernel for example) that are not part of sme 7 final, so then i look in yum.conf and the centos updates are disable, why?
so i enable it and update my sme7, when its reboot the centos updates was disables again because of templeting, its ok but why are not part by default of the repositories to the sme 7 was allways update when an centos updates is do it?

thanks

If you enable the CentOS updates repository in the yum_repositories database, it will stay enabled. However, be aware that some CentOS updates may break features of the server (e.g. PPTP) until we have built the relevant modules. That is why the CentOS updates repository is not enabled by default.

All of the CentOS 4.3 updates are available in smeupdates-testing and will soon be pushed to smeupdates. If you want to be really up-to-date, please enable the smeupdates-testing repository.
