I have a old server DELL Poweredge 4200.It woks fine with SME 6.5.
but today when I want to update it to SME 7.0.The install process show me no drivers find at the first step, and then it ask me to add the driver manually.the next screen show the 4 driver:
3com 3c590/3c595/cc90x NIC
Adaptec AHA-2740/28XX/29XX
INTEL eTHER EXPRESS/100 NIC
CSI MegaRAID Controlles CMEGARAID_M BOX
find in the system, and then I press "done" butten. but after a while the installtion process stoped. It show some message like
File "/usr/bin/anaconda",line 1122,in?
instclass.setinstalldata(id)
file "/tmp/produce/installclasses/sme install class.py",line 209,in set Install ................
name error : global name dispatch is not defined.
I want to make sure, does SME 7.0 still support the devices upper? or there some way can help me to update to SME 7.0
Thanks

Make sure you open a report in the bug tracker

I had one of the betas of sme7 installed on a Poweredge 4400, suprisingly I couldn't get sme6 to install beacause of driver problems.
The 4400 had a Perc raid controller which gets picked up on install.

I am having this issue as well, but with a Poweredge 2400. The scsi raid controller is not supported in the 2.6.X kernel, but was supported in the 2.4.X kernel. The only way to get around this is to patch the kernel.

Are there a supported hardware list for the SME 7.0?
Thanks

SME 7 is built on Centos 4, look at that supported hardware list.

I have the same problem with a Dell PowerEdge 6450. Red Hat dropped support for PERC 2DC SCSI raid controllers past the 2.4 kernel, damn them...

I am getting around this problem by running vmware esx server on this box. While installing SME, you can try telling SME to install the drivers for the CSI MegaRAID Controlles CMEGARAID_M BOX and see if it will recognize the controller and the hard drives afterwards.
