will it affect mysql if i change the root password?
-
No, they're completely separate.
-
Don't forget if you change the root password you need to make sure its the same for admin as that's whats is used when logging onto server-manager

Don't change the root password. Change the 'admin' password, via the server manager.

Changing the admin password via the server manager will change both the root and the admin passwords.
