any one have a how to create smeserver-7.0 on vmware 5.5.1?

There's no big trick to it. Just create it like any other VM.
Choose Red Hat EL4 as the base and give it at least 256MB RAM.
Timekeeping is an issue. So is installing VMware-Tools. But both issues are discussed on this forum...
I think someone has even published a pre-built VM.
If you really want me to, I can offer you one of mine...

The images that you can find released is a 7.0 pre (don't remeber wich) so could you release yours that would be welcomed.

I just checked the SME VM's I have on hand. They are all configured for a 300GB disk (though not preallocated). If that will work for you, I'll modify it a bit and send you a link via e-mail.
Resizing the disk looks to be a PITA...more trouble than just creating a new VM...which is what I'd do if I were you.
