Title: MAIL USER ACCOUNT LOCKED!!!!

Hi,

I have  a problem with sme server 7.I have intalled it and trying to cnfigure the mail account users.But i can not unlock the users accounts.
Can anybody help me ?

You would need to set a password before using the account, please read the manual as it would have told you this.

I am the server administrator.Any time u set the password,it tell u that it is wrong!

Are you going to tell us what it says? Otherwise how will we know whats wrong.

Hazard a guess its probably to do with your password (search password strength)

The password you provided was not a good password. A good password must contain all of the following: upper case letter, lower case letter, number, non-alphanumeric character, be at least 7 characters long.

I have used 12 characters

Just liike the message says !!

SAME ERROR MESSAGE.We are curremtly using the version 5.5 and it is ok !!!
But with Version 7,problem with is password issue....

Not a problem, more of a security enhancement.

Again like I said and p-jones..Does you password have....

Again please read manaul or have a look at the FAQ on the left.

DEAR ALL,

I USE THE FOLLWING COMMAND

CONFIG SET.....................USERS NONE

and it is now ok !!!

But how do i upgrade from sme server version 5.5 to 7???

An upgrade from 5.x to 7.x directly is NOT supported. Either you upgrade from 5.x to 6.x to 7.x or do a new install.
