I purchased a D-Link 530T Rev B1 network card (1 Gigabit) only to discover this is not supported in SME 7.0.
My network card supplier suggests one of the following cards:
US Robotic (USR 997902)
Linksys EG1032 (32-bits)
Linksys EG 1064 (64-bits)
My machine is a P III, 500 MHZ.
Does anyone have experience with any of these network cards? Will any of these work with SME 7.0?
thanks,
Larry

http://www.mikrotik.com/docs/ros/2.8/guide/driverlist Suggests that the realtek RTL8169 may not work well. Maybe this is fixed?
Are the drivers at .../contrib/intel/ for intel chipsets?

TigerDirect had two cards for about $30, one with Via and one with Realtek, both worked with SME7
The Marvel chip on many motherboards and also the Dlink card has issues without a kernel rebuild
