Title: update problems
Post by: calisun on August 17, 2006, 08:44:07 PM
Last night I noticed that there were updates available in server-manager. When I clicked on update, after a while I got a message that there was a connection problem to the upstreem server and nothing was updated. But now server-manager does not show that there any updates availlable. WHen I go to shell and type yum update, it says it is seraching locad database for updates. How do I force it to search internet not local database.

I suggest you clear out the yum cache... "yum clean cache" if that doesn't work look at the other options "yum clean" will show you the other options

I did: yum clean cache  , I also did: yum clean all, and no luck.
I also did signal-event post-upgrade and signal-event reboot   and nothing.
Updates were there last night and today they are gone.
