Title: Very newbie Mysql

Is there some HOW-TO to get started with mysql in esmith?
So far I got only "MySQL Connection Failed: Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: NO)" from phpmyadmin.

You haven't entered the mysql root password.  Try doing a search here (perhaps "mysql password" would be useful search terms); it's been discussed many times before.

Most newbees/people don't adjust their SME/E-Smith password so the chance that you can find it in /root/.my.cnf is big

Enter this password in the config.inc.php(3) file from PhpMyAdmin so you can enter as root with password found in that file.
