I have a HP Netserver E800.
Installed SME 7.0 on it and it runs nice.
This machine has a Dual Processor Mainboard.
Can I install a second processor after the installation?
Or do I have to reinstall SME to make use of the Dual Proc capability?
Greetings,
Irian

Hi,
Yes, I believe you can. You will want to install the second process and boot up. At the picture of your friendly neighbourhood tux (grub boot menu) select SMP.
You may need to edit the boot loader to boot the dual processor kernel by default, I'm sure a quick google will help you there.
Linux LOVES dual processors, wanna buy a quad Xeon but my credit card says no :-(

No you won't. Selecting SMP once will make it the default for the next bootup.
