Title: Latest Firefox update broke webmail?
Post by: tonys on August 22, 2006, 03:33:20 AM
Gidday all,

Since the most recent firefox update (to ver 1.5.0.6) under XP we are unable to use SMEserver webmail... it looks OK, but (oddly) when you click into the message body area to type the cursor appears, but subsequently typed text does not.

It works fine under IE (oh, the humanity!).

This is quite a problem for us really... can anyone repicate this behaviour, or suggest a fix?

Cheers,

Tony,

Sorry but can't replicate the problem.

Try updating the Java on the PC to the latest.

Works as it's supposed to here as well ... maybe you have addons doing something or a miss-configuration happening there.

Title: Try checking preferences in fox
Post by: Agent86 on August 23, 2006, 04:42:52 AM
Try checking your preferences in fox to see if everything appears as it should, java enabled etc.

Edit/Preferences/Content/ see if Java is checked etc.

Also disable popup blocker temporarily to see if that does it,

Oops in Windows / Firefox its not Edit/Preferences
It's Tools/Options Sorry.

I have this problem at times with Go To My PC same effect when trying to use LInux to Logon to work , but not everytime just 50% of the time.

Well hope this helps, I'm sure you have already checked this, but maybe not?
