Title: CBQ problem

hi all,

i have mess something on the server. Recently i was able to try cbq on sme server to limit the download. But after i start it was very slow not as i wanted i just want limit it. Question: how do i disable CBQ to not run? i tried ( /sbin/cbq stop) but still very slow.

could anyone can help me?

using SME 6.0.1

What steps did you use to install and start cbq ?
You need to do the reverse.

First, set up a test environment.  That is a mini version of your network with exactly the same hardware as your production system.  Test stuff here first!!!  Get everything working the way you want before you deploy.

Second, clone your hard drive (a poor man’s go-back insurance policy).  In a simple server have two identical drives.  Before you make big changes (or any changes) to your working system, boot to a cd and run # dd if=/etc/hda of=/etc/hdb – That way you can go back to exactly the same way things were before you screwed it all up.
 
Third, take notes!

if you are using cbq start to start the throttling, then you use cbq stop to stop it.  There is no way to adjust the upload with cbq on SME  :cry: .
