Title: Changing yum mirrors
Post by: jc021179 on August 23, 2006, 02:47:38 PM
I have done some searching and believe this error is a result of a mirror being down.

[root@www ~]# yum update

[root@www ~]#

I have tried following the fix from this post: http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=33397.0

but it doesnt seem to work for me.
I can edit my yum.conf file but am a linux novice so it would be great if someone could tell me exactly what sections i need to edit to fix this problem.

Cheers in advance!

Could this be a DNS problem?
Looks like it can't find any repository.

Some of Ibiblio's mirrors were off line for a couple of day but the issue now seems to be fixed.  Try your update again.
