Title: Upgrading from 6.0.1 - Swerts-Knudsen
Post by: ganddk on August 23, 2006, 04:46:15 PM
Hi

I'm running 6.0.1 with the Clam Antivirus from Swerts-Knudsen. So, is it safe just to upgrade to version 7.0 with the Clam Antivirus or should I do a new install.

Thanks
Gert

Uninstall ClamAV and then upgrade to SME7.
It comes with the installation of SME7, so you don't need to install ClamAV again.

Remove ClamAV with the command:
rpm -e package-name

Look on Swerts site for the filenames of the .rpm files to delete.

now boot from the SME7 CD.
It will ask you to upgrade.
