Title: Log Files - Lenght of time
Post by: ltc6netspec on August 26, 2006, 06:46:22 AM
How does one set the time period (days) to keep any log files like: qmail, spamd, qpstmpd?

Thanks

Here's a description of how to keep more qpsmtpd log data:

Warning: this solution does not use any of the supported SME configuration methods, so the changes would not survive a backup/restore in the event of server failure!

There is a "feature request" to include this as a supported capability in a future version of SME:

Those logs are all kept until they are a certain size, not for any particular period of time. If you want them kept longer, then you will either need to reduce the amount of information being written to them, or increase their size or the number which are kept.
