Title: HOWTO: Automatically Backup When USB Hard Drive Plugged In
Post by: zzrpat on August 29, 2006, 04:31:24 AM
Hi Guys,

I've written a HOWTO on automatically backing up data when a USB hard drive is plugged in. Only the home directory is backed up, meaning Ibays and Home drives are backed up but no settings/users/passwords etc. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

The howto is available here (http://tlug.dnho.net/?q=smeserver_udev_automated_backups)

Cheers!

Darren

Your How To has one glaring error. SME7final is based on CentOS 4.3 and is currently using kernel 2.6.9-34 or 2.6.9-34.0.2 with the lastest software updates.

OK, I've changed that in the document. Thanks for your feedback!

Cheers!
