Dear All,
WATCH OUT! Upgrading from 5.0 + blades to 5.1.2 mangled the update. It claimed to do everyting OK but when it rebooted it disabled all
the services and when re-building the configuration from the administration console it could say bail out with a message like 'configuration not restored'.
I had to hack the system to initialize the network, backup everything by hand and then re-install from scratch. Then it went and did everything OK as usual.
One weird thing: Why is the server manager access via browser allowed using the http protocol instead of https. VERY insecure, even if it is allowed for the interrnal network (private)
Sergio
PS: Else it is a good product. I only wish they would upgrade the kernel to use an ext3 journaled filesystem!

Also, DHCP does not work. You dont get an ip off the e-smith server when you reboot a client PC. Cannot get it to work with a static ip either.
I have posted it to bugs dept, and it seems its known issue - si dont upgrade until its fixed with a update.
Other than that - still a superb product
