trying to send mail to my phone at '10digit#@tmomail.net' doesn't go through. Checking the 'reason for failure' log file gets this:
1 0.41 66.94.9.228 does not like recipient./Remote host said: 550 5.7.1 <my10digit#@tmomail.net>... Relaying denied/Giving up on 66.94.9.228.
SME 7 with all updates. Just started happening about 2 days ago. Worked fine up till then (on 7).
Any ideas?

Relaying denied/Giving up on 66.94.9.228
says it all really. You now need to authenticate with tmomail.net. I suggest you talk with them.

That's a problem with tmomail.net. They're not accepting their own mail. There's nothing you can do about that (but let them know and hope they fix it).

Funny, though - it works fine from gmail, yahoo mail, etc. Could it be something else? Spam blocking, DNS???
