Title: open files in ibay - how to close them???
Post by: Stefan Brunnengraeber on February 04, 2002, 03:23:03 PM
Hello,

on sunday I backuped my data to another PC with SME ibays.
Now I wanted to restore the files to my newly installed SME 5.1.2

My Windows hanged while copying files from one ibay to the other servers' ibay.
The Problem is, that all files are open this time and they remain opened even after rebooting at the source ibay. On the target ibay they were open as well, but as root I was able to delete them.

Does anybody know how to brutaly close files under linux?

Bye,
Stefan Brunnengraeber

Did you check the owner of these files ?

I don't really understand what the problem is but if you are able to delete the files when you log in as root, It seems to me that it is a permission problem.

As a last resort you could bounce the samba services.
eg.
service sambe restart
