Title: Installing postfix or sendmail along SME's / Qmail
Post by: albatroz on September 09, 2006, 05:30:50 PM
I need to install a licensed solution for antispam/antivirus that works
with Sendmail and Postfix but not with Qmail. I wonder if somebody has done anything on this new release to achieve this?

And why can't you install a licensed solution for antispam/antivirus  with qmail?

Because it is NOT compatible with Qmail.

This company has this antivirus licensed on all their desktops and as a plus they receive a server license for free.

OK, I have never heard of them personally.

Between - What do you find is a problem using the free Clamav and Spamassassin?

If you search via dev mailling list then you will see some have attempted postfix but not sure where they got with it.

SpamAssassin is unable to handle the avalanche of new spam arriving,
even using RBLs certain spam still get through.

With this solution, I could pass the problem of spam to the Hacksoft guys,
and keeping off me the customer pissing me of because Open Source antispam is not working.
