Installed SME 7.
Setup e-mail and it's working fine connecting to webmail locally - both sending and receiving.
I have setup Thunderbird with pop and smtp servers being mail.mydomain.com - but can not send or recieve mail through there.
Any ideas??

Can you get mail if you use the IP instead of the name?
-
Thank you byte.
Now it works using the ip.
But why does not mail.mydomain.com work - not that it really matters - but, I would like to know!
Thanks again

Do you know if you have it setup correctly on the server?

Have you got the dns pointing to your servers IP address.
When I try to access the web page using http://www.coxkvalheim.com or just www.coxkvalheim.com it doesn't work.
Thats why using the domain name doesn't work for accessing your e-mail.
Maybe also you dont have your ports forwarded properly.
When I do a ping on your domain I get time outs and when I enter your ip in as your web address I get "Clarkconnect Broadband Gateway/Server Error 404"
Check all your setups then try again ... when setup properly you should be able to access using your domain name.

I have managed to get mine working with POP3S (Secure POP3) and it works like a charm.
You'll need to allow external POP3S access in the server-manager, and change your current account to use a secure POP3 account - and it will work.
