It is possible from a experience user of e-smith to do a Network monitoring install, with say a php or perl web interface. I asume it may include somethink like
http://demarc.com/ or
http://acidlab.sourceforge.net/
with a snort backend
I think it would be a good idea for a newbie like myself, who wants to keep an eye on their home server plus get access to see what is going on.
I quite the look of http://demarc.com/, as has some good screen shots of its web interface.

g'day Scott,
Try the following link:
http://cebu.mozcom.com/riker/iptraf/
I don't know much about it, but I remember it mentioned once as an alternative. If you decide to give it a run and it goes OK, let us know!
good luck,

that's right, but i've read that you can install a c-compiler from the Redhat 7.1 RPM-Database. (i think it was in the FAQ)
Anywhere, i've installed a full redhat installation on my client using Virtual PC. There i'm compiling the sources and transfer it to the server.

Has anyone created documentation on how to install and configure BB on SME 5.1.2?
Would truly appreciate those needy docs.
Thanks,
