My new SME 7.0 server install seems to have created a certificate in its own name. Now each time my email client connects to it, it pops up with "Security Error: Domain Name Mismatch" Is there any way to have SME generate a new certificate or two.
Text of error.
You have attempted to establish a connection with "www.mydomain.org". However, the security certificate presented belongs to "servername.domain.org". It is possible though unlikely, that someone may be tryin to intercept your communication with this web site.
I can view the certificate and can "OK" it but the next time I start my email client (Mozilla, POP for my wife and IMAP for me) I'll get the same error.
Thanks
Ted

In the wiki (wiki.contribs.org) there are howto about this. You may have to wait for the wiki to come back online.
Search the forum for custom SSL cert.. NickC has a howto hosted off site that will help.
Found it..
Custom Cert (http://mirror.contribs.org/smeserver/contribs/nickcritten/howtos/ssl7.htm)
It will solve one popup for you.

Hi, been searching, but cannot find.
Is there a way you can put multiple domain names in the cert?
for exmple to access webmail some people go to:
www.myserverdomain/webmail
and some just type
myserverdomain/webmail
if I only have one in the certificate, then only one will pass without a problem, the other gives an error.

Try cacert.org and look for wildcard certificates.

So there is no simple way to add a wild card or add more to the section mentioned in the above how to?

No there isn't. I've tried. Full details in the bug tracker.
