Title: WAN Load Balance
Post by: gadgetakias on September 23, 2006, 08:40:25 AM
Hello everybody.

I have tried the last years several stand-alone solutions of combinations of firewall/proxy etc. (eg. IPCop, PfSense, Clark Connect etc.)

I have to admit that SME 7.0 is a very neat and total solution for small-medium businesses.

One feature I guess others asked in the past to be inluded is the WAN load balance (eg. 2x ADSL lines or 1x ADSL + 1x Cable).
Many individuals or companies nowadays are using a second internet connection either as backup or to balance their internet use. A feature of load balance that will direct the traffic between two WANs will boost SME 7.0 even further!

I think you should have posted this in the Suggestions category.

Nevertheless I totally agree with you, this would be a great addition to SME Server.
