Title: Gating Thru An SME Server

Ok - we have a group of computers that we would like to run thru an SME server in order to severly limit their internet access.

This box would then be hooked into our regular network for regular access. Is this possible or would we be better off gating thru something like IPCop?

You would need something to "limit the access" like Dansguardian and things for http access.  Dansguardian won't do much for p2p traffic, ssh, ...

I recommend something else besides sme7 if that is the only functionality you are looking for.  Sme 7 is a general firewall/file server/email server.
