Title: How do i disable SElinux ???

hi. does anyone know how to disable SElinux on SME 7? i think this will solve my problems with installing 2x Thinclient Server http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=33915.0

this is what the installer reports:

SELINUX AUTOMATED CONFIGURATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ THIS PROCEDURE CAREFULLY BEFORE CONTINUING WITH THE CONFIGURATION OF 2X ThinClientServer 2.0

On this platform, you have SELinux currently enabled and in enforcing mode. Certain distributions will not allow certain services to start on reboot when SELinux is in this state, but will permit the services to start from the command line. To resolve this issue, it will be necessary to perform an automated configuration procedure (outlined below) which requires your prior acceptance, since it will involve downloading SELinux policy sources from a repository over the internet.

Here is an outline of the procedure:

1) Start the services with dummy configuration.
2) Install policy sources (if these are not available).
3) Run audit2allow tool to get the required rules, to incorporate in the policy.
4) Add the rules to the local.te file.
5) Compile and load the modified policy.
6) Reconfigure SELinux to run in enforcing mode.
7) Test again the services.



If you do not accept, these are possible workarounds (The configuration script shall continue):

* Disable SELinux completely.
* Configure SELinux is permissive mode.
* Go through this procedure manually.
* After every reboot, just start the services, as root, by typing "2Xthinclientserver start".

this first link to a FAQ (http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/selinux-faq-fc3/index.html) should have let you understanding more about your system.

Hi - there is a thinclient solution in the contribs area that works well.

It is already disabled.
