Title: port forwarding problem
Post by: mike_mattos on October 01, 2006, 11:52:03 PM
I'm testing SME7 beside a production 6.x machine. They share the same dsl modem via a dlink switch used only for the external network and have consecutive permanent ip addresses,

xxx.xxx.xxx.221/webmail and  ~.222/webmail  both work.

Port forwarding rules are identical on the admin screens, also
config show masq
gives the same result on both systems.

However, the 6.x port forwards correctly, the 7.0 fails with server not found error.

I'm using radmin on 4899 and since it works for the 6.x system, it's unlikely to be a windows issue on the target 192.xxx.xxx.xxx machine

I rebooted to be sure the IP fixed IP was there at boot

all sugestions welcomed

thx

Port forwarding worked as expected to day, but only after I had loaded a valid public domain onto the server, and relaxed security for public access
