Hi All,
Does anyone know how I can upload more mp3 tracks for the MOH, I have uploaded some in the /var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3 directory but they don't play  Any help is appreciated.

Del,
Firstly, did you restart asterisk after loading the new mp3's? Asterisk won't see the new files if you don't. If you did restart asterisk then fetch up the asterisk console (in verbose mode) and put a call into hold or dial into a conference room. Anything to get MOH started. Then watch what happens when it tries to play your new songs. High bitrate MP3's will often simply not play.
Let me know how you get on.
Kind Regards

Hi Selintra,
No I didn't restart asterisk  I did however rename three of the new mp3's to match the originals and they worked OK, so I guess that was a crude fix but I will put some more in and restart asterisk and see what happens. I take it that the name will not matter (or need to be changed). I will let you know how I get on.

Hi Selintra,
I have uploaded three new mp3 tracks and did these commands:
/etc/init.d/asterisk stop
/etc/init.d/asterisk start
Then made an extension to extension call, put it on hold and it worked  So I assume that it will work when an external call comes in and is transfered etc. I will try it tomorrow. So if that's OK everything will be cool, I have my MOH tracks with comforting messages 8)
