I have never attempted an install of this yet, but wondering how it works and how hard this is to setup?? Anyone have a good site with documentation.. we are spending someon big money to do this now..

I started with a standard setup following the manual and some readings concerning LAN/WAN. You migh just give it try without any addons and see how you can put it to use!!

You may want to have a look at this site.

These guys have spent a lot of time to integrate sail (Asterisk) into SME.

They also have it as a stand alone system ... depends on what you are after.

Read through there docs and see how easy it is to setup ... that way you can make up your own mind.

Any queries ..... there a quite a few people here that are willing to help.

I have found this system to be very reliable.
