Title: How can I only accept email to root@domain from local users
Post by: mackayr on October 26, 2006, 11:43:47 PM
I have, perhaps, an interesting problem.  Some time ago, I tried to list my website in some search engines.  Shortly thereafter, I started getting spam emails to various accounts (ie. root@domain, admin@domain, webmaster@domain, etc...).  Obviously someone has picked up the 10-15 most common names and engaged in spamming.

Ok ... to the point.

Is there a way to drop root@ and admin@ from external users, while still allowing internal emails to them (ie. sme7admin notices)?

Originally, I had 1and1 drop email to those accounts, but recently switched mail sorting to my sme server (dungog-mailsorting).

Thanks for any advice.
