Spent all Saturday setting up 1 Sme 7 and 30 XP Workstations !!!
The SME 7 went like a breeze !!!
The workstations took somewhat longer ....
A couple of questions arise :-
net time \\server /set /yes in the login.bat always used to work without problems but on 7 it throws up some error which I think is related to perms. Anyone know about this or have a workaround / fix ?
And, is there a way to view the domain website hosted at the ISP when you are using SME for DHCP / DNS as users are getting the 'local' version ?

Please report this issue to Bugzilla, I am sure the Devs want to know about this. Thanks.

Just had same issue. Try to remove hostname www.mydomain.com pointing to your internal IP address and create a new hostname=www.mydomain.com pointing to the IP of your ISP server. Failing this, use the "Internet DNS servers" setting. Someone with more experience may have a better way.
Rgds.

Unfortunatly using the IP address results in a 'generic response' page at the ISP as they are doing some multi-host trickery.
(thought of this 1st by adding a http refresh to the starter web page)
Editting the resolv.conf nor the dhcpd.conf doesnt work either.

Can you explain this in more detail ?
The net time command works fine from a dos box on wintop but not from netlogon.bat on server .... will try again next time I am in.
Edit: Forgot to ask ....
Users home drives mapped as Z: automatically ?
Is that right ? How do i change this to H: ?

I think if you go to Hostnames & Addresses in Server Manager and modify the www host entry to Remote with the correct external IP address then this should work (at least it always did on SME6 :D )
