Title: Netgear FA311v2 will not work
Post by: moored on November 09, 2006, 12:13:00 AM
We bought 1 last week - it worked fine.

Bought 2 this week - both are not recognised and are now dust along with 4 Dlink DFE-550TX.

SME 7.0 full.  Netgear says they changed the drivers even though the card ID and version stayed the same.  The driver is realtech.

We have wasted hours and hours on NICs that will not work with SME.  Hours and hours rooting around for Redhat compatible NICs to no avail.

That sounds like a reason never to buy another Netgear NIC.

Does the Netgear card have a RTL8139 on it?
