When you created the 'xyz.com' domain in server-manager, what did you say for the DNS servers?

If you point the DNS servers to your SME box for this domain it should work.

Apache is looking at the name you use to access the server in order to pick the default web page to return - you need to configure your network so that your internal clients "see" your local SME box when they lookup "xyz.com".

This can be done [choke] with "hosts" file entries on each computer[/choke] or by configuring your local clients to use a DNS server that returns the LAN IP of your server when they lookup "xyz.com".
