Title: Automatically responding to emails

I need a system where an email to a specific address (or perhaps an email with a specific subject field) is automatically responded to by the replying with an email containing a specific attachment.

I would expect to receive and respond to maybe 1 or 2 emails per day, and there would be around 20 different attachments to be sent out.  An automatic system allows an immediate response out of hours.

We seem to use qmail in SME Server, and I am aware of a package called qmail-autoresponder (http://www.cyber-sentry.com/index.php?id=141) but i'm not sure if it can handle attachments, and the quick instructions reference mySQL which i don't have time to learn.

Has anyone accomplished the same thing with attachments?  How do you do "out of office" messages?

Any pointers as to a simple way to do this would be appreciated, and if I accomplish it I'll make sure a method is recorded on contribs.org for future reference.

Thank you - that's a start, but no attachment option, and it has a once only policy to each email address.

Does anyone know if procmail can be used in this way?
